The Montreal Tatar Association is organising a hockey game that brings together Tatar people from North America and around the World. The Tatars are the Turkic speaking ethnic group living mainly Tatarstan and Crimea. In Russia Tatars represent a large part of the population of the country. They are the second largest ethnic group in Russia after the Russians.

Hockey is a great passion for Canadian Tatars. A tradition was established in 2017 to bring the hockey players, their families and their friends together every year for a friendly hockey game. It is also an opportunity to speak Tatar and to promote the Tatar culture as well as offering a chance to integrate newly arrived Tatar immigrants into Canadian society.

Prizes and trophees await the participants. Supporters and family members will be there to encourage the players.
